Astrology can be defined as the practice of relating events on earth to the movements of the stars and planets in the heavens above.

For centuries people have looked up at the sky, and noted the orderly movements of the planets.  Over time they have become symbols of wholeness, in contrast to the apparent chaos in everyday life.

Astrology is one of the ways in which people have searched for meaning in their life.  Carl Jung, the psychotherapist, regarded astrology as ‘the sum of all the psychological knowledge of antiquity.’ Jung, C.G., Collected Works, Vol. 15 ‘The Spirit in Man, Literature and Art’,  London, RKP (1990) para 81.

Psychological astrology aims to avoid formal predictions and fortune-telling, in favour of identifying themes and patterns in the astrological chart or horoscope, thus empowering an individual to make informed choices for a more fulfilled and meaningful life.
